NEW YORK\u2014<\/strong> John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)<\/a> has appointed Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the strategic technology and innovation partner for its New Terminal One project, marking a significant step toward creating one of the world’s most digitally advanced international airport terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership is designed to improve passenger journeys, strengthen airport operations, and reduce operating costs for airlines through advanced digital technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New Terminal One is the centerpiece of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion redevelopment of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scheduled to become the airport’s flagship international terminal, the facility will introduce next-generation technology, modern infrastructure, and enhanced operational capabilities as part of JFK’s largest transformation in decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TCS to Power New York JFK Terminal One<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Under the agreement, TCS will oversee the deployment and management of critical technology systems across the terminal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These include passenger processing platforms, AI-powered IT operations, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure designed to support daily airport activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company will also integrate its Cognix and ignio technology platforms to provide airport operators and airline partners with real-time operational visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system will monitor key functions such as baggage handling, passenger processing, terminal security, and IT infrastructure, allowing issues to be identified before they affect airport operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By combining artificial intelligence with predictive analytics, the technology aims to improve operational efficiency while delivering a smoother experience for international travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airlines operating from the terminal are also expected to benefit from lower operating costs through improved resource management and automated processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JFK Modernization Project Progress<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The New Terminal One forms a major part of JFK Airport’s ongoing redevelopment, which includes two entirely new terminals, modernization of two existing terminals, a new ground transportation center, and a redesigned roadway network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once completed, the terminal is expected to become the airport’s largest international facility and aims to achieve a five-star Skytrax rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
