DUBAI\u2014<\/strong> Emirates Airline (EK)<\/a> will introduce its flagship A380 to Delhi (DEL) from 25 October, making the Indian capital the third gateway in the country to receive the double-decker aircraft after Mumbai (BOM)<\/a> and Bengaluru (BLR). The A380 will operate flights EK512\/513 in a four-class configuration, joining the airline’s retrofitted Boeing 777 fleet on the Delhi route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the A380 launch, Emirates (EK) will make its Premium Economy cabin available on all flights between Dubai (DXB) and Delhi (DEL). By the end of October, the airline will offer Premium Economy across six Indian cities, expanding its most in-demand product to nearly half of its scheduled weekly flights to and from India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates to Debut A380 to Delhi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The A380 deployment on flights EK512\/513<\/strong> brings Emirates’ four-class layout to Delhi, featuring First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The double-decker complements three other daily Delhi services operated by retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft<\/a>, which also carry a four-class configuration with Premium Economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this rollout, all daily Emirates services between Delhi and Dubai will offer four cabin classes. Premium Economy will feature on EK513, operated by the A380, along with the Boeing 777-operated EK511, EK515, and EK517.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cabin offers cream leather seats with wider legroom and recline, dining served on chinaware, and a full suite of amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the airline’s long-standing commitment to India is reflected in the continued rollout of its latest products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that Delhi joins Mumbai and Bengaluru as the third A380 destination in the country, driven by strong demand for travel to and from India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that Premium Economy will now serve six gateways, covering nearly half of the airline’s weekly Indian flights, with further service enhancements in the pipeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kolkata Gains A350 and Wider Premium Economy Access<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From 25 October, Emirates will upgrade its daily Kolkata (CCU) to Dubai service, EK570\/571, from a Boeing 777 to its next-generation Airbus A350<\/a>. The switch brings the airline’s signature cabins, including Premium Economy, to the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flights EK572\/573 will continue to operate five times weekly on a four-class retrofitted Boeing 777. Together, the two services will make Premium Economy available across all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six Indian Cities to Offer Premium Economy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By the end of October, customers seeking added comfort can book Premium Economy seats across six Indian gateways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cabin will be available on four daily services from Delhi, 12 weekly from Kolkata, 22 weekly from Mumbai, 9 weekly from Ahmedabad (AMD), 7 weekly from Bengaluru, and 2 weekly from Kochi (COK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The product will operate on a mixed fleet of Airbus A380<\/a>, Airbus A350, and four-class Boeing 777 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ground and Onboard Service Enhancements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Emirates has opened retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, where customers receive personalised support from trained staff. Stores in Hyderabad (HYD) and Bengaluru will follow, along with a dedicated call centre in Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onboard, passengers across the airline’s nine Indian gateways can enjoy regionally inspired menus prepared by award-winning chefs. Cabin crew on Indian routes speak several languages, including Hindi and select regional languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inflight entertainment system offers more than 6,500 channels, featuring Bollywood titles in Hindi along with content in Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Kannada, and other languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates Network Across India<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Emirates serves nine gateways in India: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai (MAA), Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline operates 167 weekly flights to Dubai, connecting onward to a global network of almost 140 destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
