WASHINGTON\u2014<\/strong> EVA Air (BR)<\/a> has inaugurated the first-ever nonstop passenger service between Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)<\/a> and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)<\/a>, creating a direct air link between the U.S. capital region and Taipei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new service makes Washington, D.C. the airline\u2019s 10th North American destination and further strengthens its trans-Pacific network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight was welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute at Washington Dulles International Airport, followed by an official ceremony attended by government officials, airport executives, and airline representatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four-times-weekly route is operated with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner<\/a>, offering Royal Laurel Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EVA Air New US Route<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The launch marks a significant milestone for EVA Air as it becomes the first airline to operate nonstop flights between Washington, D.C., and Taipei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier expects the route to serve growing demand from business travelers, government officials, students, and leisure passengers traveling between Taiwan and the U.S. East Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EVA Air President Clay Sun described Washington Dulles as a strategic gateway to the U.S. capital region and emphasized the strong long-term potential of the market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the new service will enhance the airline\u2019s East Coast network while providing passengers with seamless onward connections through Taipei to destinations across East and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting event attended by senior officials from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), the Virginia Department of Aviation, and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington\u2013Taipei Flight Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Washington\u2013Taipei service operates four times each week using Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured with three cabin classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight BR003 departs Washington at 1:50 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, arriving in Taipei at 5:45 a.m. the following day. The return service, BR004, departs Taipei at 7:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, arriving in Washington at 10:30 p.m. on the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers traveling on the route also gain access to EVA Air\u2019s expanding Asian network through its Taipei hub, enabling convenient connections to destinations across Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Boeing 787-9 deployed on the route features the airline\u2019s latest-generation Premium Economy cabin, designed with one of the industry\u2019s most generous seat pitches for long-haul travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Air’s Network Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The addition of Washington, D.C. increases EVA Air\u2019s North American network to 10 destinations, joining Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Houston, Dallas\/Fort Worth, Chicago, Vancouver, and Toronto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the new route, EVA Air now operates 98 weekly flights between North America and Taiwan, reinforcing its position as one of the leading Asian carriers serving the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airport officials said the nonstop service is expected to strengthen tourism, trade, cultural exchanges, and investment opportunities between Taiwan and the U.S. capital region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline also highlighted its long-standing industry recognition, including maintaining a SKYTRAX Five-Star Airline rating for 11 consecutive years and earning top safety rankings from AirlineRatings.com for 13 straight years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Washington route represents another step in EVA Air\u2019s strategy to expand premium long-haul connectivity while supporting growing travel demand across the Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
