DELHI\u2014<\/strong> Noida International Airport (DXN) <\/a>officially commenced commercial flight operations on June 15, 2026, marking a significant milestone for India’s aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the new airport is expected to ease congestion at Delhi\u2019s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) <\/a>while providing travelers across Noida, Greater Noida, and western Uttar Pradesh with a more accessible aviation gateway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airport has launched operations with services from IndiGo (6E) and Akasa Air (QP), connecting Noida International Airport (DXN) to major domestic destinations including Bengaluru (BLR), Hyderabad (HYD), Jammu (IXJ), Amritsar (ATQ), and Navi Mumbai (NMI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As airlines continue expanding their schedules, the airport is expected to strengthen regional connectivity and support growing passenger demand across northern India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noida Airport Routes And Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During its initial phase of operations, Noida International Airport offers direct flights to several key Indian cities. These routes cater to business travelers, tourists, students, and corporate passengers seeking alternatives to Delhi\u2019s crowded airport network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Akasa Air currently operates daily non-stop services between Bengaluru and Noida, along with direct flights connecting Navi Mumbai<\/a> and Noida. IndiGo has launched daily services linking Noida with Hyderabad, Amritsar, Jammu, and Bengaluru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning in July 2026, IndiGo will further expand its network from Noida with additional flights to Chandigarh, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bareilly, Bhopal, Dehradun, Dharamshala, and Kishangarh. The growing route map positions DXN as an emerging domestic aviation hub in North India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airport Infrastructure And Connectivity Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airport has been developed as a multimodal transportation hub designed to integrate air travel with major road networks and future transport links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategy aims to improve accessibility while supporting economic growth across western Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the airport\u2019s major advantages is its proximity to Agra and the Taj Mahal. Located approximately 139 kilometers from the monument, DXN offers a significantly shorter surface journey compared with routes originating from Delhi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travelers can reach Agra in roughly two hours via the Yamuna Expressway, making the airport an attractive entry point for domestic and international tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spread across nearly 1,334 hectares, the airport is being developed in four phases. The first phase includes a runway, integrated passenger terminal, and air traffic control tower, with an annual passenger handling capacity of up to 12 million travelers, NDTV Travel<\/a> reported<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future Growth Plans And Infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Noida International Airport has been designed with long-term expansion in mind. Upon full completion, the facility is expected to feature five runways and an annual capacity for up to 225 million passengers, placing it among the world’s largest airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passenger experience has also been enhanced through a wide range of retail and dining options. Travelers can access shopping outlets offering travel essentials, accessories, cosmetics, and packaged foods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dining choices include popular brands such as Chai Point, Costa Coffee, KFC, Subway, Smoor, Flying Bites, and Urban Food Market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With expanding airline partnerships, growing route networks, and large-scale infrastructure plans, Noida International Airport is set to become a major aviation gateway for northern India and a key contributor to the country’s long-term aviation growth strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
