DOHA\u2014<\/strong> Qatar Airways (QR)<\/a> has resumed service to 26 destinations across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Asia Pacific, and Europe, expanding its global network to more than 160 gateways for summer 2026. The carrier operates from its hub, Hamad International Airport (DOH), in the Qatari capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion follows a phased network rebuild that began in March 2026, when the airline restored operations to over 60 destinations. Qatar Airways now adds returning routes such as Marrakesh (RAK), Boston (BOS), and Tokyo Haneda (HND)<\/a>, while increasing frequencies to several FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways Returns to 26 Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways has positioned the summer 2026 schedule as the next stage of its recovery. The airline resumed safe operations from March 2026 and steadily rebuilt connectivity across continents. With the latest additions, its network now exceeds 160 destinations for the season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skytrax<\/a> voted Qatar Airways the World’s Best Airline in 2025<\/a>, marking the ninth time the carrier received the honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline links its passenger experience to operational reliability and safety. It recorded 84.42% on-time performance in 2025, earning the Platinum Award for Operational Excellence from aviation analytics firm Cirium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travellers connecting through Hamad International Airport benefit from seamless transfers and access to Qatar Duty Free’s lifestyle and dining outlets. The Privilege Club loyalty programme allows members to earn and spend Avios across their journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Africa Routes Return Ahead of Summer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the previously announced Port Sudan (PZU) route launching on 2 July, Qatar Airways is returning to three African markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Service to Kigali (KGL) in Rwanda resumes with two weekly flights, while Seychelles (SEZ) returns with four weekly flights. Marrakesh (RAK) in Morocco receives daily service with seven weekly flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Americas Network Reinstated for FIFA World Cup 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways is rebuilding its presence in the Americas with several route launches and frequency increases. Caracas (CCS) and Bogot\u00e1 (BOG) begin from 22 July, and Philadelphia (PHL) returns from 1 August. The airline reinstates four weekly flights to Boston (BOS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Official Airline Partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the carrier is raising frequencies to support fan travel. Boston increases from four to seven weekly flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO)<\/a> each rise from four to seven weekly flights, while Miami (MIA) grows from seven to 10 weekly flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asia and Asia Pacific Destinations Resume<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The airline is returning to nine destinations across Asia and the Asia Pacific. Adelaide (ADL), Almaty (ALA), Auckland (AKL), Baku (GYD), and Tbilisi (TBS) each resume with seven weekly flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osaka (KIX) returns with five weekly flights, and Tashkent (TAS) and Yerevan (EVN) each operate four weekly flights. Tokyo Haneda (HND) begins with four weekly flights, increasing to seven weekly flights from 1 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Europe Service Expands Across Nine Markets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways is widening its European reach with returning routes. Brussels (BRU), D\u00fcsseldorf (DUS), Lisbon (LIS), Oslo (OSL), and Prague (PRG) each operate seven weekly flights. Belgrade (BEG), Budapest (BUD), and Zagreb (ZAG) return with four weekly flights. Helsinki (HEL) starts with four weekly flights, rising to seven weekly flights from 1 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onboard Connectivity Supported by Starlink<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Qatar Airways supports its onboard experience with Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi<\/a>. More than 140 aircraft carry the technology, forming the world’s first and largest Starlink-equipped widebody fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers in Premium and Economy cabins access Wi-Fi speeds of up to 500 Mbps per aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
