HANOI- <\/strong>Vietnam Airlines (VN)<\/a> has officially launched nonstop flights between Hanoi and Amsterdam, becoming the first Vietnamese carrier to establish a direct air link between Vietnam and the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural service marks a major step in the airline\u2019s European expansion strategy and strengthens connectivity between Southeast Asia and one of Europe\u2019s leading economic centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first flight, VN83, departed Hanoi\u2019s Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) on June 16 and carried nearly 300 passengers aboard an Airbus A350. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After more than 12 hours in the air, the aircraft arrived at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS)<\/a>, officially inaugurating the new route and opening a direct connection between the two capital cities, Vietnam News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vietnam Airlines Hanoi to Amsterdam Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Vietnam Airlines will operate three round-trip flights each week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays using its Airbus A350 fleet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline said the service is designed to provide travelers with a more convenient alternative to connecting itineraries while improving access between Vietnam and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch expands the carrier\u2019s long-haul network and gives passengers direct access to one of Europe\u2019s busiest aviation hubs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol serves as a major gateway for business and leisure travelers, offering extensive onward connections throughout Europe and other international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nguyen Quang Trung, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines<\/strong>, said the new service reflects the airline\u2019s commitment to strengthening Vietnam\u2019s global connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the route will benefit both Vietnamese travelers heading to Europe and international visitors traveling to Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Europe Network Expansion Strengthens Connectivity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Amsterdam service further strengthens Vietnam Airlines\u2019 footprint across Europe. With the addition of the Dutch capital, the carrier now operates 12 nonstop routes connecting Vietnam with eight major European destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its European network currently includes Paris<\/a>, London, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Copenhagen, Moscow, and Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion supports the airline\u2019s broader objective of increasing direct international connectivity while responding to growing passenger demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
