DUBAI-<\/strong> Emirates (EK)<\/a> confirmed its first round of schedule revisions for July 2026 on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, reshaping how the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER are deployed across its network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The update removes three A380 routes, with Glasgow (GLA) and Osaka Kansai (KIX) continuing on the Boeing 777-300ER<\/a>, while Barcelona (BCN) sees its A380 service replaced by the same aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised plan mixes A380 reinstatements with downgrades to the 777-300ER across Europe, Asia, and North America. Routes from Dubai (DXB) to London Heathrow (LHR), Amsterdam (AMS), Singapore (SIN), and Zurich (ZRH) keep reduced A380 frequencies, while Copenhagen (CPH), Perth (PER), and Washington Dulles (IAD) regain the superjumbo, Aeroroutes<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filing reflects a steady rebalancing of Emirates’ two-type widebody fleet rather than a broad capacity cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some markets keep the A380 at lower daily frequencies<\/a>, others lose it to the 777-300ER, and several see the superjumbo return after periods of 777 operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The changes apply to scheduled services for July 2026 and follow the carrier’s earlier planning for the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London Heathrow<\/a> keeps 5 daily A380 flights instead of 6 daily, with EK031\/032 remaining cancelled. Singapore stays at 1 daily A380 against a previously filed 3 daily, and Zurich moves to 1 daily A380 instead of the earlier 2 daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, EK374\/375 switches to the 777-300ER, yet the overall A380 presence, including the onward leg to Hong Kong, holds at 3 daily instead of 4 daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Routes Downgraded to the Boeing 777-300ER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A group of European and Asian routes loses A380 service in favor of the 777-300ER. Barcelona moves to the 777-300ER on EK185\/186, replacing the A380.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cairo switches to the 777-200LR or 777-300ER on EK925\/926, cutting overall A380 service there from 3 to 2 daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glasgow and Osaka Kansai both keep the 777-300ER in place of the A380. Prague also retains the 777-300ER, replacing the A380, with the type already scheduled during June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London Gatwick shifts EK009\/010 to the 777-300ER, though A380 service returns from 01JUL26 at 1 daily instead of 2 daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A380 Service Resuming on Key Routes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Multiple markets see the A380 reinstated, in some cases at lower frequencies than before. Copenhagen regains 1 daily A380, replacing the 777-300ER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dusseldorf resumes A380 operation from 26JUN26 as EK055\/056. Manchester returns to the A380 with 1 daily EK017\/018 instead of 3 daily, and Munich moves to 1 daily A380 on EK049\/050 instead of 2 daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perth and Washington Dulles both regain 1 daily A380 service, each replacing the 777-300ER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tokyo Narita Becomes the 12th A380 Route Cut in June<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Separately, Emirates schedules the 777-300ER on the Dubai to Tokyo Narita (NRT) route from 14JUN26 to 24JUN26. This makes Tokyo Narita<\/a> the 12th A380 route removed in June 2026, a count that includes Prague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New 569-Seat A380 Joins Birmingham and Copenhagen<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
