The roughly 14,000-square-foot space welcomes guests with a warm Pacific Northwest design, including an inviting fireplace and a striking wooden Mt. Hood mural by artist Ben Butler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At twice the size of the current <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Portland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Portland Lounge<\/a>, the space offers more than 200 seats, including Alaska&#8217;s Signature Loungers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>High, open ceilings bring in natural light and frame views of Portland&#8217;s new terminal. Guests can relax with fresh, regionally inspired food, sip barista-crafted beverages or cocktails from West Coast partners, and use ample power plugs along with privacy booths for calls and meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shane Jones, Vice President of Fleet, Products, and Guest Experience at Alaska Airlines, highlighted the role Portland guests have played in the airline&#8217;s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Portland guests have chosen Alaska for years and played an important role in our growth in the Pacific Northwest. This new Lounge is our way of thanking them and a reflection of our growing portfolio of premium guest experiences. Last month, a new service began to Baltimore (BWI), Bellingham (BLI), Idaho Falls (IDA), Philadelphia (PHL), and St. Louis (STL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By this fall, Alaska will offer 50% more seats in Portland than it did just two years ago. This growth reflects strong demand for travel and the airline&#8217;s continued investment in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris Czarnecki, PDX Business and Properties Director at the Port of Portland, pointed to the impact of the partnership with the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our strong partnership with Alaska has helped to elevate the new PDX as a world-class destination that showcases the Pacific Northwest and makes everyone feel at home.
