TOKYO\u2014<\/strong> All Nippon Airways (ANA)<\/a> and The Pok\u00e9mon Company have unveiled two specially designed Boeing 787 aircraft to celebrate Pok\u00e9mon\u2019s upcoming 30th anniversary, marking the latest expansion of one of Japan\u2019s most recognizable aviation collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANA (NH) announced that \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Red\u201d<\/strong> will begin operating domestic flights across Japan by the end of July 2026, while \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Green\u201d<\/strong> will serve international routes at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch continues a partnership between ANA and Pok\u00e9mon that dates back to the release of Pok\u00e9mon Red and Green in Japan during the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two aircraft will feature distinct Pok\u00e9mon themes tied to the franchise\u2019s iconic starter characters. \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Red,\u201d a Boeing 787-8 registered as JA819A, showcases Pikachu alongside fire-type Pok\u00e9mon commonly selected by players at the start of the games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Green\u201d will operate on a Boeing 787-9<\/a> registered as JA923A. The international aircraft design highlights Pikachu and grass-type starter Pok\u00e9mon from across the Pok\u00e9mon video game series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANA said details for the launch of the international aircraft will be announced later. The airline also confirmed that a third aircraft, called \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Blue,\u201d will join the program in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabin Experience Aboard ANA’s Pok\u00e9mon Jets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Passengers flying on the themed aircraft will receive several exclusive onboard amenities created specifically for the anniversary campaign. ANA plans to distribute commemorative boarding stickers featuring limited-edition Pok\u00e9mon artwork to travelers on eligible flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier will also introduce Pok\u00e9mon-themed headrest covers in Economy Class on domestic services and in Economy and Premium Economy<\/a> cabins on international routes. The headrest designs will mirror the Pok\u00e9mon displayed on the aircraft exteriors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional commemorative products include special anniversary cups carrying Pok\u00e9mon branding and custom cocktail napkins available on selected international flights. ANA stated that the onboard products aim to create a more immersive travel experience for Pok\u00e9mon fans traveling within Japan and overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline added that the availability of these products may vary depending on routes and operational conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Nippon Airways’ Boeing 787 Fleet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ANA selected the Boeing 787 Dreamliner family for all three anniversary aircraft, continuing the airline\u2019s extensive use of the widebody type across domestic and international operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline remains one of the world\u2019s largest operators of the Boeing 787 series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The domestic-focused \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Red\u201d will primarily connect major Japanese cities through ANA\u2019s domestic network. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The international \u201cPok\u00e9mon Jet Green\u201d is expected to operate long-haul services from Tokyo\u2019s major hubs, including Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND)<\/a> and Narita International Airport (NRT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANA said the collaboration reflects the airline\u2019s goal of creating unique travel experiences while strengthening Japan\u2019s global tourism appeal through popular entertainment brands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company also plans to reveal additional project details, including flight schedules and future promotional events, through dedicated campaign pages on its official website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
