GURUGRAM-<\/strong> IndiGo (6E)<\/a> flight 6E6017 operating from Bengaluru (BLR) to Chennai (MAA) was evacuated after smoke was detected inside the aircraft while it was taxiing for departure on May 26, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline later confirmed that all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated and moved to the terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A passenger-recorded video shared after the incident showed people standing and walking on the aircraft wing during the evacuation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The footage also drew attention to claims that an overwing exit slide did not deploy as expected during the emergency response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo Flight Evacuated Amid Smoke Alert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IndiGo (6E) flight 6E6017 was preparing for departure from Bengaluru (BLR)<\/a> to Chennai (MAA)<\/a> when smoke was noticed inside the aircraft during taxiing operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, the crew initiated an immediate evacuation procedure and informed relevant authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the evacuation, passenger Deepan Qweeter Kannan shared a video on X that showed passengers standing on one of the aircraft wings during the emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the passenger’s account, the right-side overwing exit slide did not inflate during the evacuation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The passenger stated that some individuals initially moved onto the aircraft wing and later had to return inside the aircraft to exit through another route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
