On the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=A350\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Airbus A350 Long Haul fleet<\/a>, passengers on restricted fares can only pre-select seats in the smaller rear Business Class cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Airbus A350 medium-haul configuration appears even more restrictive. Current booking flows show only the final two rows available for advance selection on lower-tier fares and award redemptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore Airlines has also implemented restrictions on the <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=777\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Boeing 777-300ER<\/a> and Boeing 787-10 fleets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the Airbus A380 currently appears unaffected, with passengers still able to select most Business Class seats regardless of fare type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Boeing 737-8 MAX also remains largely unchanged because several premium seats were already blocked for non-PPS members under the previous system. Industry observers note that this creates a sharper divide between top-tier frequent flyers and regular elite members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers still have several options to secure preferred seats later in the booking cycle. Blocked seats may become available approximately 96 hours before departure, during online check-in, or at the airport check-in counter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move also raises concerns that Singapore Airlines could eventually introduce paid Business Class seat selection for cheaper fares, similar to practices already used by several global carriers.
