LEEDS\u2014<\/strong> UK leisure airline Jet2 (LS)<\/a> has unveiled a major Northern summer 2027 expansion, introducing 17 new routes across its UK base network. The schedule covers fresh leisure destinations along with the resumption of selected services last operated in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new routes connect seven UK airports, including Birmingham (BHX), Manchester (MAN), London Stansted (STN), London Gatwick (LGW), Edinburgh (EDI), Bristol (BRS), East Midlands (EMA), and Bournemouth (BOH), with destinations across France, Spain, Greece, Croatia, and the Channel Islands, Aeroroutes<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flights launch progressively between March 2027 and May 2027, operated by Boeing 737-800<\/a> and Airbus A321neo aircraft<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jet2 Summer 2027 Route Expansion Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The expansion strengthens Jet2’s position in the UK leisure market by adding capacity to short-haul holiday destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three routes mark the return of services last flown until September 2023, while the remaining 14 represent fresh additions to the carrier’s network. Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Jersey (JER) emerge as the most heavily served new destinations, each receiving multi-frequency operations from several UK gateways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greek leisure markets feature prominently in the schedule. Kavala (KVA) gains service from three separate UK airports, while smaller Greek destinations, including Chania (CHQ) on Crete, Skiathos (JSI), and Mytilene (MJT) on Lesbos receive new direct links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier also adds Croatian coastal destination Pula (PUY) from Edinburgh, alongside French and Spanish routes serving Bergerac (EGC), Reus (REU), and Almeria (LEI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Birmingham Airport New Routes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Birmingham (BHX) receives three new Jet2 services for summer 2027. The Bergerac (EGC) route returns after a three-year hiatus, launching on 22 May 2027 with one weekly Boeing 737-800 rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jersey (JER) flights begin on 02 May 2027 with two weekly frequencies, increasing to three weekly from 25 May 2027. The Kavala (KVA) service starts on 12 May 2027 with one weekly rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manchester Airport New Services<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Manchester (MAN) gains four new routes in the summer 2027 schedule. The Bergerac (EGC) link resumes on 22 May 2027 with one weekly Boeing 737-800 service, having last operated until September 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jersey (JER) flights commence on 02 May 2027 at two weekly frequencies, rising to three weekly from 25 May 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kavala (KVA) route launches on 11 May 2027 with one weekly service, doubling to two weekly from 21 May 2027. Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) operations begin on 25 March 2027 with four weekly rotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London Stansted and London Gatwick Additions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

London Stansted (STN) features three new destinations for the season. Almeria (LEI) service starts on 01 May 2027 with one weekly flight, doubling to two weekly from 26 May 2027. Kavala (KVA) operations begin on 11 May 2027 with one weekly rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) flights launch on 30 April 2027 at four weekly frequencies, marking the carrier’s busiest new STN service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London Gatwick (LGW) receives a single new route, with Mytilene (MJT) on the Greek island of Lesbos launching on 02 May 2027. The service operates one weekly using the Airbus A321neo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edinburgh New Greek and Croatian Routes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Edinburgh (EDI) gains three new leisure routes in summer 2027. Chania (CHQ) on Crete starts on 05 May 2027 with one weekly Boeing 737-800 service. Pula (PUY) in Croatia launches on 02 May 2027 with one weekly Airbus A321neo rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Skiathos (JSI) route resumes on 06 May 2027 with one weekly A321neo service, having last operated until September 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other UK Base Additions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bournemouth (BOH) receives one new route, with Reus (REU) in Spain launching on 02 May 2027 at one weekly frequency using the Boeing 737-800. Bristol (BRS) gains a Jersey (JER) service starting 14 May 2027 with two weekly rotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

East Midlands (EMA) adds Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) flights from 26 March 2027 with two weekly frequencies operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aircraft Deployment Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jet2 deploys two aircraft types across the new routes. The Boeing 737-800 covers most short and medium-haul leisure services, while the Airbus A321neo handles the Edinburgh-Pula, Edinburgh-Skiathos, and London Gatwick-Mytilene routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A321neo offers higher capacity and improved fuel efficiency, supporting the carrier’s fleet modernisation programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
