DUBAI-<\/strong> Emirates (EK)<\/a> has filed an interim schedule for the period of May 1 to 15, 2026, resuming service to 16 destinations across its global network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restored routes include Adelaide (ADL), Algiers (ALG), Antananarivo (TNR), Bahrain (BAH), Beirut (BEY), Bogota (BOG), Brisbane (BNE), Houston (IAH), Kuwait City (KWI), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Muscat (MCT), Orlando (MCO), Osaka Kansai (KIX), Phnom Penh (PNH), and St. Petersburg (LED).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dubai (DXB)-based carrier now operates approximately 77%<\/strong> of its previously planned schedule, based on a comparison between February 1, 2026, and April 26, 2026 schedules. Services to Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), Tehran Imam Khomeini (IKA), and the Male (MLE) to Colombo (CMB) sector remain cancelled. The airline has noted that further changes remain highly possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates to Resume Flights to 16 Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emirates has introduced widespread frequency increases and aircraft upgrades across multiple regions during this interim period. Several key long-haul routes are receiving capacity boosts through either higher weekly frequencies or upgauges to the Airbus A380, Aeroroutes<\/a> flagged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the United Kingdom, London Heathrow (LHR)<\/a> increases to six daily A380 services from five daily. Manchester (MAN) grows to 21 weekly frequencies from 17 weekly, with A380 service expanding from one to two daily rotations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newcastle (NCL) moves to a daily A350-900 service from five weekly, and Dublin (DUB) increases to 14 weekly 777-300ER flights from 11 weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Across the Americas, New York JFK<\/a> increases to 14 weekly from 10 weekly with A380 and 777-300ER equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Dulles (IAD) upgrades to daily 777-300ER service from three weekly. Boston (BOS) grows to four weekly 777-300ER flights from three weekly A350-900 operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dallas\/Ft. Worth (DFW) replaces the 777-200LR with the larger 777-300ER on its daily service. Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), and Orlando (MCO) each resume with three weekly frequencies effective May 2, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miami (MIA) returns with four weekly 777-300ER flights operating onward to Bogota (BOG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

European and Mediterranean Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

European routes see notable growth. Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)<\/a> increases to 21 weekly from 17 weekly. Madrid (MAD) expands to 14 weekly, up from 11 weekly, with A380 service resuming on flights EK141\/142.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rome Fiumicino (FCO) also grows to 14 weekly flights from 10 weekly. Frankfurt (FRA) adds A380 service resumption on flights EK045\/046 alongside its existing 777-300ER operation. Munich (MUC) doubles to two daily 777-300ER services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milan Malpensa (MXP) sees the nonstop terminator service upgauged to the A380, replacing the 777-300ER. Barcelona (BCN) increases to daily 777-300ER service from three weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bologna (BLQ) and Venice Marco Polo (VCE) each grow to increased weekly frequencies. Vienna (VIE) transitions to daily A380 service, replacing 10 weekly 777-300ER operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Indian Subcontinent Operations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the Asia-Pacific region, Melbourne (MEL) doubles to two daily A380 services. Auckland (AKL) increases to four weekly A380 flights from three weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sydney (SYD) resumes nonstop terminator A380 service. Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) upgauges to the A380, replacing the 777-300ER. Tokyo Haneda (HND)<\/a> increases to daily 777-300ER service from four to five weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the Indian subcontinent, Mumbai (BOM) <\/a>maintains five daily services with a mix of 777-300ER, A350-900, and A380 aircraft. Delhi (DEL) operates four daily 777-300ER flights. Bangalore (BLR) holds three daily frequencies with 777-300ER and A380 equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dammam (DMM) doubles to two daily A350-900 services from one daily 777-300ER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Africa, Mauritius (MRU) upgauges to two daily A380 services from one daily 777-300ER, marking an A380 service resumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cape Town (CPT) operates 10 weekly 777-300ER flights. Lusaka (LUN) to Harare (HRE) increases to a daily service from five weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancelled Services and Operational Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Four routes remain suspended<\/strong> during this period. Baghdad (BGW), Basra (BSR), and Tehran Imam Khomeini (IKA) continue without service, along with the Male (MLE) to Colombo (CMB) sector. Colombo, as a standalone destination, retains three daily frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several routes also see aircraft replacements without frequency changes. Glasgow (GLA) switches from the A350-900<\/a> to the 777-300ER.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seattle (SEA) replaces the 777-200LR with the 777-300ER on four weekly flights. Larnaca (LCA) to Malta (MLA) transitions from the 777-300ER to the A350-900.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
