LONDON-<\/strong> British Airways (BA)<\/a> has dismissed a 31-year-old pilot accused of secretly recording intimate encounters with up to 16 women during hotel layovers and sharing the footage online without their consent. The recordings were allegedly made between 2023 and 2025 and later uploaded to adult websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Metropolitan Police arrested the pilot on March 5 on suspicion of voyeurism after a complaint was filed on March 3 regarding videos being taken and distributed without consent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BA initially suspended the pilot while the police investigation continued. The airline has now confirmed that the pilot is no longer employed by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed it is reviewing reports of substance misuse linked to the pilot and will take appropriate action regarding his flying license, The Sun<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

British Airways Pilot Accused of Covert Filming Sacked<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The alleged victims, aged between 24 and 36, included flight attendants from British Airways and other carriers. The pilot reportedly met women during hotel stays between flights at destinations around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One woman alleged she discovered multiple videos on his laptop and noticed that a piece of tape had been placed over the camera’s recording indicator light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A source familiar with her account stated that the footage showed women from different airlines and in different uniforms, including crew from Virgin Atlantic (VS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cabin crew members reportedly began warning each other about the pilot’s behavior after some of the alleged victims recognized themselves in footage posted online. The warnings eventually led multiple women to report the matter to the Metropolitan Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One alleged victim described how the pilot would position his laptop with music playing, but the screen turned off during encounters. She stated she only learned about the recordings after another woman in a similar situation informed her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metropolitan Police Investigation and Bail Status<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Scotland Yard confirmed the arrest of the 31-year-old man on March 5 on suspicion of voyeurism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The police stated the arrest followed an allegation made on March 3 regarding videos recorded and distributed without consent. The suspect was released on bail while enquiries continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The voyeurism charge falls under Section 67 of the UK Sexual Offences Act 2003. The distribution of such footage is treated as an aggravating factor in voyeurism cases and can lead to more severe penalties, with a maximum sentence of up to two years of imprisonment in the Crown Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cocaine Allegations Trigger CAA Review<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the voyeurism allegations, the pilot is also accused of cocaine use, which prompted British Airways to report him to the relevant aviation authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Piloting a commercial aircraft while under the influence of drugs is punishable in the UK by up to two years of imprisonment and unlimited fines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CAA confirmed it is reviewing the substance misuse reports but declined to comment on the individual case. The regulator emphasized that safety and professional standards remain a priority across the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This case comes shortly after a separate voyeurism trial involving another BA pilot. In January 2026, BA pilot Tim Capron was acquitted of voyeurism at Reading Crown Court after a trial related to filming a sexual encounter with a cabin crew colleague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
