However, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted timelines, delaying further progress and pushing the concept into temporary silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By 2022, the airline reintroduced Skynest with plans to install it on newly delivered <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/boeing-787-9-dreamliner\/\">Boeing 787<\/a> aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delivery delays extended the timeline, but the airline has now confirmed that the product will finally enter service later this year. This placement allows efficient access while maintaining cabin density.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each installation consists of six individual bunk beds stacked in a compact configuration, ensuring minimal disruption to the overall seating layout while introducing a new service tier within Economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each bunk measures approximately 6.6 feet in length and is designed for short-duration rest. A 30-minute turnaround period allows cabin crew to refresh bedding and prepare the space for the next passenger.
