FRANKFURT-<\/strong> London Gatwick Airport (LGW) <\/a>has added Condor (DE)<\/a> as its fifth new airline in under two weeks, with the German carrier launching three daily flights to Frankfurt Airport (FRA) starting April 1, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service operates from Gatwick’s North Terminal, directly linking two of Europe’s major financial and cultural centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new route serves both business and leisure travellers, with morning, afternoon, and evening departures offering full-day flexibility, including same-day return options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frankfurt’s status as one of Europe’s busiest international hubs also provides passengers with smooth onward connections to long-haul destinations across Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Condor (DE), a German leisure and scheduled carrier based in Frankfurt<\/a>, makes its UK debut with this new route to London Gatwick (LGW). The airline operates up to three return flights per day, giving travellers a wide range of departure windows to suit different itineraries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted that the three daily frequencies provide maximum flexibility and convenient access to Condor’s long-haul network to Africa and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Condor, legally incorporated as Condor Flugdienst GmbH, is a German airline with its primary hub at Frankfurt Airport. Further, the carrier operates scheduled services to leisure and city destinations across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its entry into the UK market with the London Gatwick route represents a strategic step in the expansion of its European short-haul network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London Gatwick’s Short-Haul Network Continues to Expand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

London Gatwick (LGW) has seen significant airline growth in a short period. Condor (DE) joins four other carriers that have recently launched operations at the airport, including Jet2 (LS)<\/a>, Air France (AF), Eurowings (EW), and Animawings (WL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, several more airlines are set to begin flying from Gatwick in the coming weeks, including AirAsia X (D7), Air Arabia (G9), Beijing Capital Airlines (JD), and Pegasus Airlines (PC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonny Macneal, Head of Aviation Development at London Gatwick<\/strong>, stated that Condor’s arrival gives passengers greater choice and flexibility, whether travelling for work, leisure, or to visit family and friends. He noted that the addition marks another landmark in a period of significant growth for the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
