LONDON\u2014<\/strong> Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> will significantly expand its operations at London Gatwick (LGW)<\/a> during the summer 2026 season, introducing up to double daily flights on the long-haul route from Singapore (SIN). The move reflects strong passenger demand and marks one of the fastest capacity increases on a relatively new European route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline plans to boost frequencies between Singapore and Gatwick over the peak travel period, complementing its already extensive operations at London Heathrow (LHR)<\/a>. This expansion will raise total London-bound services to as many as six daily flights, reinforcing the airline\u2019s commitment to the UK market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines Doubles London Gatwick Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Mainly Miles<\/a>, Singapore Airlines will introduce additional services between March 31 and October 24, 2026, initially operating three times weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flights will gradually increase to daily frequencies during July and August, before scaling back again toward the end of the summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These supplementary flights will operate alongside the existing daily Gatwick service, effectively doubling frequencies during peak months. The schedule reflects a strategic response to seasonal demand, especially during the busy European summer travel period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new services will depart Singapore in the early morning hours and arrive in London the same morning, offering convenient arrival times for both leisure and business travelers. Return flights from Gatwick will depart around midday, reaching Singapore the following day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines will deploy its Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft<\/a> on all Gatwick services. The aircraft features a three-class configuration with 42 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 187 Economy Class seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers will experience a consistent onboard product across both daily flights, as the aircraft does not include First Class or Suites cabins. However, the airline continues to maintain its premium service standards with modern seating and inflight entertainment systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline is also preparing to introduce new Business Class products on its A350 fleet starting in 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
