Martin continued making disrespectful remarks. The second crew member attempted to restrain the situation while passengers intervened by surrounding Martin to prevent further escalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this sequence, Martin allegedly swung at the second flight attendant, although the punch did not make contact. He has been charged with interference with flight crew members under federal law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
