NEW YORK-<\/strong> Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> flight SQ21 from Newark Airport (EWR) to Singapore Changi (SIN) with Airbus A350-900 and Spirit Airlines (NK)<\/a> jet operating Flight NK992 collided on the ground at Newark on March 2, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft involved in the incident is Singapore Airlines A350, registered as 9V-SGA. It is an over 7-year-old aircraft powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Spirit Airlines’ jet involved in the incident is an Airbus A321neo, registered as N720NK. Further, it is just over one year old and is powered by two PW1133G-JM engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident was captured on camera by one of the Singapore Airlines passenger and he has shared it on Social media, which you can watch here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This happened within the hour on @SingaporeAir<\/a> flight SQ21, EWR to SIN, world\u2019s longest flight at 19 hours, 10 min.
