DELHI-<\/strong> SpiceJet (SG)<\/a> flight SG121 returned to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) shortly after departure due to a technical issue. The Boeing 737 was en route to Leh\u2019s Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and around 150 passengers were disembarked without incident. The airline confirmed there was no fire warning in the cockpit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SpiceJet Flight Emergency Landing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SpiceJet flight SG121<\/strong>, operating from Delhi (DEL)<\/a> to Leh (IXL) on February 24, turned back minutes after takeoff when the crew detected a possible technical issue. The flight was operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement from the airline, the aircraft returned as a precautionary measure. It landed normally at Indira Gandhi International Airport, and passengers disembarked in line with standard safety procedures. The airline clarified that there was no fire warning in the cockpit during the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airport sources indicated that the issue may have been linked to one of the aircraft\u2019s engines, possibly the second engine. However, the airline did not provide technical specifics beyond confirming a \u201ctechnical issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight was carrying approximately 150 passengers at the time of departure. Following the return to Delhi, ground teams coordinated passenger disembarkation in accordance with safety norms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the flight crew receives abnormal system indications, they are trained to prioritize safety and return to the departure airport if required. The February 24 incident follows similar occurrences involving the airline in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 9, SpiceJet (SG) flight SG670 from Mumbai\u2019s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM)<\/a> to Kolkata\u2019s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) experienced a technical issue during descent. The aircraft landed safely in Kolkata, and all passengers and crew deplaned normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, on September 12, a SpiceJet Q400 operating from Kandla Airport (IXY) in Gujarat to Mumbai (BOM) made an emergency landing at Mumbai after an outer wheel was found on the runway following takeoff. The aircraft landed safely, and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October, SpiceJet (SG) flight SG497 from Delhi (DEL) to Patna\u2019s Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport (PAT), operated by a Boeing 737, returned to Delhi shortly after departure due to a technical issue. The airline arranged an alternate aircraft for passengers after a normal landing and safe deplaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
