ISTANBUL-<\/strong> Turkish Airlines (TK)<\/a> has unveiled its 500th aircraft, marking a major fleet milestone and signaling the start of its next growth phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch ceremony at Istanbul Airport (IST) celebrated the airline\u2019s workforce and highlighted its long-term plan to double the fleet by 2036.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkish Airlines Marks New Fleet Era<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Turkish Airlines introduced its 500th aircraft, named \u201cTK Family,\u201d during a ceremony at Istanbul Airport, bringing together executives, employees, retirees, and aviation partners. The aircraft features a special livery created from photographs of more than 100,000 employees and retirees, symbolizing collective contribution to the airline\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event also hosted families of national martyrs from all 81 provinces of T\u00fcrkiye and featured participants from the airline\u2019s well-known I\u011fd\u0131r commercial campaign. The ceremony emphasized unity and the airline\u2019s shared journey rather than focusing only on operational numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, Prof. Ahmet Bolat, stated that the airline has accelerated growth significantly since 2003, expanding from 65 aircraft to more than 500 today while serving 356 destinations across six continents, Ajot<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the fleet milestone marks the beginning of what the airline calls the \u201cSecond 500\u201d era, aiming to reach a fleet of 1,000 aircraft by 2036 and strengthen T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s position as a global aviation hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
