The latest schedule update now shows daily A380 service continuing through the entire Northern Winter 2026 to 2027 season until 27 March 2027.

The decision signals a firm commitment to maintain higher capacity on the route. The airline is also selling all six Suite Class seats available on the A380 throughout the period. Since the Boeing 777-300ER offers only four First Class seats, continuing to sell six Suites strongly indicates no planned downgrade.

The update also aligns with persistent slot constraints at Dubai International Airport, where securing additional landing rights has limited Singapore Airlines’ expansion plans in recent years. Maintaining larger aircraft solves this constraint by increasing seat capacity without requiring extra frequencies, MainlyMiles reported.

Flight Schedule and Seasonal Adjustments

Singapore Airlines currently operates one daily Singapore to Dubai rotation as SQ494 and SQ495.

From 29 March 2026, the Airbus A380 will replace the Boeing 777-300ER on the route.

Summer 2026 Schedule

SQ494: Depart Singapore 14:40, arrive Dubai 18:00

SQ495: Depart Dubai 19:45, arrive Singapore 07:30 the next day

For Northern Winter operations beginning 25 October 2026, slight timing adjustments apply.

Winter 2026 to 2027 Schedule

SQ494: Depart Singapore 14:30, arrive Dubai 18:10

SQ495: Depart Dubai 19:50, arrive Singapore 07:15 the next day

The service remains daily throughout the period.

Photo: By Toshi Aoki – JP Spotters – Gallery page http://www.airliners.net/photo/Singapore-Airlines/Airbus-A380-841/1677316/LPhoto http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/6/1/3/1677316.jpg, CC BY-SA 3.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php

Dubai Becomes a Permanent A380 Destination

With this update, Dubai joins London Heathrow and Sydney as year-round A380 destinations in the Singapore Airlines network.

Other cities, such as Delhi and Mumbai, temporarily lose A380 service during peak summer periods, while cities including Frankfurt, Auckland, Shanghai, and Hong Kong receive the aircraft seasonally, depending on demand.

Fleet limits play a key role.
