SINGAPORE-<\/strong> Singapore Airlines (SQ)<\/a> will introduce a 7th daily flight between Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) from March 2026, increasing capacity on its second-busiest route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The additional service restores Airbus A350 Long Haul operations on selected days, offering the wider 2013 Business Class seat and a Premium Economy cabin sold as Economy Class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines 7th Daily Flight to Bangkok<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines has updated its finalised Summer 2026 schedule to include an extra daily Singapore\u2013Bangkok<\/a> rotation, taking total frequencies to 7 flights per day in each direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This enhancement comes just two months before the season begins and adds both capacity and schedule flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reported by Mainly Miles<\/a>, the new service also reintroduces the Airbus A350 Long Haul aircraft to the route on selected days, a configuration rarely deployed on this short sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft choice elevates the onboard experience for passengers able to align travel dates with the long-haul-equipped flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All services operate daily between 29 March 2026 and 24 October 2026, subject to aircraft variation by date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bangkok continues to rank as Singapore Airlines\u2019 second-busiest destination by weekly seat capacity. The additional daily frequency further strengthens this position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airbus A350 and Business Class Seat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On days operated by the Airbus A350<\/a> Long Haul, passengers can access Singapore Airlines\u2019 2013 Business Class product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each aircraft features 42 Business Class seats with direct aisle access and the widest seat currently offered by the airline on the Bangkok route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These seats supplement the 2018 Regional Business Class found on the A350 Medium Haul and Boeing 787-10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While newer, the regional seat is narrower, and some passengers find it restrictive for comfort-sensitive travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For travellers flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, or Sundays, selecting SQ722 or SQ721 provides a rare opportunity to experience the long-haul Business Class cabin on a short regional flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future Long-Haul Business Class Developments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Singapore Airlines plans to introduce a new closed-door, suite-style Business Class on the Airbus A350 Long Haul from the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline intends to complete the retrofit programme across the fleet by the end of 2030, although such timelines have historically slipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Bangkok is technically a candidate for the new seat due to aircraft rotation efficiency, it is unlikely to be an early recipient given competing long-haul priorities such as London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers are therefore advised not to book SQ722 or SQ721 solely in anticipation of this future product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Premium Economy Sold as Economy Class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A350 Long Haul features a 3-class layout, including Premium Economy. On Singapore\u2013Bangkok flights, these seats are sold as Economy Class, with passengers able to pay a seat selection fee for additional space but without enhanced service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
