SAINT PETERSBURG-<\/strong> A Rossiya Airlines (FV) Boeing 747<\/a> aborted takeoff after an engine surge triggered sparks and flames during departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport (UUS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Moscow-bound flight to Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) was carrying 388 passengers when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
