FRANKFURT\u2014<\/strong> Lufthansa (LH)<\/a> is expanding its special anniversary fleet as part of celebrations marking 100 years since the airline\u2019s founding. Following the recent arrival of a Boeing 787-9 in commemorative colors, two additional aircraft types will soon join the fleet wearing the distinctive anniversary livery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest additions include an Airbus A320neo and an Airbus A350-900, both emerging from European paint facilities and heading toward operational hubs in Frankfurt Airport (FRA)<\/a> and Munich Airport (MUC)<\/a>. These aircraft reinforce Lufthansa\u2019s intention to showcase its centenary not only on flagship long-haul routes but also across its core short- and medium-haul network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lufthansa\u2019s anniversary livery centers on a deep blue fuselage paired with a striking white crane, the airline\u2019s long-standing emblem. The crane\u2019s wings visually align with the aircraft wings, creating a seamless design that emphasizes motion and continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A \u201c100\u201d marking appears prominently on the left side of the fuselage, while \u201c1926 | 2026\u201d is placed on the right, anchoring the aircraft in the airline\u2019s century-long history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A320 And A350 Delivery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Airbus A320neo, registered as D-AING, is scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt on January 19, 2026. After completing entry-into-service checks, the aircraft will begin regular operations, with its first commercial flight planned to Larnaca, Cyprus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after, the Airbus A350-900 registered D-AIXL is expected to arrive in Munich on February 3, 2026. The aircraft will strengthen Lufthansa\u2019s long-haul capacity while serving as a high-visibility ambassador for the centenary year on intercontinental routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The anniversary fleet already includes the Boeing 787-9 \u201cBerlin,\u201d which arrived in Frankfurt in late December and enters regular service on January 20, 2026. Its first assignment will be a long-haul flight to Mumbai, highlighting the global reach of the centenary program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
