ABU DHABI-<\/strong> Etihad Airways (EY)<\/a> confirmed multiple flight cancellations and delays on routes between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Pakistan after poor weather disrupted operations in Lahore and Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The disruption affected passengers travelling between January 15 and January 17, with safety-driven decisions taken as fog and low visibility continued across key Pakistani cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Etihad Cancels Pakistan Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Etihad Airways cancelled flight EY284 from Abu Dhabi<\/a> to Lahore on January 16 due to adverse weather conditions in Lahore. The return flight EY285 from Lahore to Abu Dhabi, scheduled for January 17, was also cancelled for the same reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 15, flight EY284 from Abu Dhabi to Lahore operated with a delay. This delay caused a knock-on impact on the return service EY285 from Lahore to Abu Dhabi on January 16, which also departed late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weather issues extended to southern Pakistan<\/a> as well. Etihad confirmed that flight EY299 from Karachi to Abu Dhabi on January 15 was delayed after adverse weather conditions reduced visibility at Karachi airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan has been experiencing a widespread cold spell. Northern and hilly regions recorded freezing temperatures, while plains and coastal cities faced dense fog, cold nights, and poor morning visibility. These conditions significantly affected flight schedules and airport operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guidance for Affected Passengers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Etihad advised all affected passengers to ensure their contact details are updated by visiting etihad.com\/contactme. This allows the airline to send real-time updates via SMS and email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers requiring booking changes or assistance were encouraged to contact Etihad through local customer service numbers, live chat, or official social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline reiterated that passenger and crew safety remains its top priority and issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by the disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travellers flying between the UAE and Pakistan are advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport and allow extra travel time, as weather-related disruptions may continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
