Hong Kong Police received an alert at 7.22 am on Sunday morning, reporting that a passenger had collapsed during the flight\u2019s final phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cabin crew initiated emergency first aid procedures as soon as the situation became apparent. These actions continued until the aircraft landed at <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=Hong+Kong\">Hong Kong International Airport<\/a> at approximately 7.38 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the alert, police officers and paramedics were dispatched to the airport to meet the arriving aircraft. Medical personnel boarded immediately after landing to provide further emergency care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The passenger was transferred from the airport to North Lantau Hospital for urgent treatment. Despite a rapid response, the passenger was declared deceased after landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The diversion involved flight LH722 on December 26, 2025, with medical teams meeting the aircraft on arrival. The flight later continued to Beijing with a delay exceeding two hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lufthansa flight LH722 experienced a medical emergency when a passenger lost consciousness while en route from Munich to Beijing. The flight crew assessed the situation and requested an emergency diversion to Almaty International Airport to secure immediate medical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon landing in Almaty, airport medical responders and city ambulance services boarded the aircraft without delay. Despite intervention, the passenger was confirmed deceased by medical personnel. Authorities did not release further personal details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flight was operated by an Airbus A350, registered as D-AIXO, with an aircraft age of approximately 6.5 years.
