The incident occurred while the pilot was not on duty and traveling as a passenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatoday.in\/india\/story\/delhi-airport-assault-air-india-express-pilot-arrested-over-alleged-flyer-assault-released-on-bail-2843764-2025-12-30\" rel=\"nofollow\">India Today<\/a>, the case involves bailable offences, and the arrest was carried out after initial questioning and evidence review. His explanations are being assessed against CCTV footage and witness statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A police source noted that authorities may consider further legal action if they find the explanations unsatisfactory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior officers added that they are conducting the investigation strictly on evidence and merit and will share information publicly only when it does not affect the outcome of the probe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The complainant alleged that the confrontation began after he objected to airline staff allegedly jumping the queue at the security checkpoint.
