Officials describe the step as a critical part of restoring PIA\u2019s footprint in one of its most important international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UK operations had resumed partially in October after British authorities lifted a five-year ban earlier this year. A consortium led by Arif Habib Corporation has emerged as the winning bidder for a 75 percent stake in the airline, with a bid valued at 135 billion Pakistani rupees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consortium has confirmed that Fauji Fertiliser Company Limited has joined as a strategic partner.
