LONDON-<\/strong> Wizz Air (W6)<\/a> has announced a major route expansion from London Luton Airport (LTN), adding 6 new international destinations and introducing the first-ever direct flight from London to Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion follows the airline securing additional operating slots at Luton and basing its 15th aircraft at the airport, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in the UK market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six New Routes Launching From Summer 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From summer 2026, Wizz Air will operate 6 new routes from London Luton Airport, including a previously unserved Asian destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline will base an Airbus A321neo at the airport to support the expanded schedule, increasing total destinations available to UK travellers from Luton to 66.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most notable addition is direct service to Yerevan (EVN), marking the first direct air connection between London and Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Daily Mail<\/a>, the route represents a significant milestone for both the airline and the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flights to Yerevan will commence on June 12, operating twice weekly, with one-way fares starting from \u00a336.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Armenia\u2019s capital welcomed approximately 2.2 million tourists in 2024, down slightly from 2.33 million in 2023, but continues to show steady recovery and long-term growth since the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
