CHICAGO-<\/strong> A United Airlines (UA)<\/a> flight attendant was arrested at Tampa International Airport (TPA) following an alleged battery involving another airline crew member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred moments before boarding and stemmed from a dispute on an employee shuttle involving a Cayman Airways (KX) flight attendant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Airlines Flight Attendant Arrested<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The incident took place on March 8, 2025, on an employee shuttle transporting airline staff from a parking area to the airport terminal. According to police records, the Cayman Airways flight attendant was speaking loudly on a mobile phone using speaker mode during the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United Airlines flight attendant<\/a> reportedly became irritated by the noise and asked her to stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cayman Airways crew member later told police she exited the shuttle but continued her phone conversation outside, at which point the confrontation escalated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Cayman Airways<\/a> flight attendant, the United crew member approached her and told her to \u201cclose your mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She stated that she questioned his behavior and accused him of being racist. She further alleged that he tapped her on the shoulder, moved her identification badge, and took a photograph of it while threatening to report her and attempt to have her terminated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
