The announcement was made in Thailand, where the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand approved a higher Passenger Service Charge for outbound international passengers. Airport Tax Increase<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Passenger Service Charge for international departures will increase from 730 baht to 1,120 baht per passenger. The new rate represents an additional 390 baht per traveler and will apply to all passengers departing Thailand<\/a> from early 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials expect the revised charge to be formally approved after Airports of Thailand completes additional consultations with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airports of Thailand estimates that its six airports handle approximately 35 million passengers annually. With the new rate, the increase in airport tax is projected to generate around 10 billion baht in additional revenue every year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
