NAGPUR-<\/strong> Air India Express (IX)<\/a> has opened new operations from Nagpur (NAG), adding twice-daily service to Bengaluru (BLR). The move expands access across Maharashtra and strengthens links to the airline\u2019s largest domestic hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch boosts connectivity for travellers using Air India Express (IX) through Nagpur (NAG), improving access to domestic and international destinations via Bengaluru (BLR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Express Nagpur to Bengaluru Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air India Express initiated its new Nagpur-Bengaluru service with morning and evening departures in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural Nagpur flight lifted off at 10:00 and reached Bengaluru at 12:05, while the first outbound Bengaluru service departed at 07:25 and reached Nagpur at 09:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ceremony at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport<\/a> marked the occasion and greeted early travellers with commemorative boarding passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schedule, effective 1 December 2025, introduces two daily frequencies that support stronger movement between central India and southern India. From Nagpur, guests gain one-stop access to 29 domestic and 7 international destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within Maharashtra, the airline now operates more than 130 weekly direct flights from Mumbai and more than 90 from Pune, followed by upcoming service from Navi Mumbai to Bengaluru and Delhi starting 25 December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growing Importance of the Bengaluru Hub<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bengaluru<\/a> remains a core hub for Air India Express, with more than 530 weekly direct flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The network has grown to include Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, along with international routes to Bangkok, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Riyadh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion supports stronger connectivity for travellers seeking both domestic reach and overseas options through a single transit point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cultural Partnerships and Tourism Growth<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Air India Express also marked a cultural milestone by becoming the Official Travel Partner for the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To encourage travel to Dimapur, the airline launched a 15 percent fare discount on flights to and from the city until 15 December 2025 using the promo code HORNBILL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier created a themed photobooth at Dimapur Airport and an art display at the Kisama Heritage Village festival site. Travellers can also participate in a social media contest by sharing destination photos and tagging the airline for a chance to win free flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upgraded Cabin and Brand Initiatives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The airline recently introduced its refreshed brand campaign Xplore More, Xpress More, which highlights cultural engagement and experiential travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its new Boeing 737 8 cabins now feature wider armrests, improved padding, legroom ranging from 29 to 38 inches, in-seat USB charging, hot meal capability through in-cabin ovens, and redesigned interiors with Boeing Sky Interior lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its Tales of India initiative, the airline showcases over 50 regional art forms from 25 states as tail designs on its aircraft. These include Warli art and traditional Himroo and Paithani weaves from Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
