MONTREAL-<\/strong> Air Canada (AC)<\/a> today outlined a major cabin renewal across North America, enhancing comfort, connectivity, and consistency for travellers using key hubs such as Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), and Montreal (YUL). The program spans Air Canada mainline, Air Canada Rouge (RV), and Air Canada Express (QK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative introduces upgraded interiors, next generation technology, and Fast, Free Wi-Fi sponsored by Bell, giving passengers a smoother experience on flights touching major airports like Calgary (YYC) and Ottawa (YOW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada Rouge Fleet Upgrade<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada\u2019s multi-year cabin program focuses on fleet alignment, improved cabin design, and unified onboard standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aircraft across mainline, Rouge, and Express will receive redesigned interiors, updated seating, and the latest entertainment platforms. The goal is to deliver a consistent travel environment regardless of route or aircraft type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rouge will take over all Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft<\/a> through 2026. These jets will feature a three-cabin layout with 12 Business Class seats, 18 Preferred seats, and 147 Standard Economy seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each seat reclines and includes a personal entertainment screen and Fast, Free Wi-Fi for Aeroplan Members. Rouge will also open a new crew base in Vancouver to support more leisure-oriented flying in Western Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mainline Cabin Enhancements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft will transition to Air Canada mainline with a refreshed interior standard. These cabins gain new seats, the latest In-Flight Entertainment system, upgraded Wi-Fi, and a modern Canadian design theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fifteen A321 aircraft already operate with the new interior, and more updates continue across the fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expansion of the Airbus A220 Program<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada will further grow its A220<\/a> fleet with twenty-six additional A220-300 aircraft on order. These future deliveries will incorporate the refreshed design standard and the larger XL overhead bins beginning in March 2026. The A220 continues to be positioned as a quiet, efficient option built in Quebec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upgrades Across Air Canada Express<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Regional operations also receive a full cabin uplift. Jazz-operated Embraer E175 and Mitsubishi CRJ-900 aircraft will adopt the new interior standard starting in 2026. More than half of the fleet already features the latest Fast, Free Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previously announced Dash 8-400 redesign continues as well, adding new seats, new interiors, and Wi-Fi availability on aircraft serving Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport YTZ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complimentary Extras on North American Flights<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, and Air Canada Express will introduce complimentary beer, wine, and premium snacks across all North American flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morning departures will offer items like MadeGood bars, while later flights feature pretzels and Leclerc cookies paired with complimentary beverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada is Canada\u2019s largest airline and a founding member of Star Alliance. The carrier serves more than 180 airports across six continents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its Aeroplan loyalty program connects members with earning and redemption opportunities through 45 partner airlines, along with hotel, merchandise, and car rental partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Canada Vacations provides wide-ranging travel packages, while Air Canada Cargo links global freight markets. The airline targets net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and trades publicly on the TSX and OTCQX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
