The Embraer E190<\/a> aircraft, operating as flight QF1972, departed Adelaide Airport (ADL) at approximately 6:10 a.m. before returning safely a few minutes later. According to Qantas, the pilots declared a PAN<\/em> (Possible Assistance Needed) alert to air traffic control and promptly returned to Adelaide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the passengers were three Liberal Party politicians, including South Australian Senator Leah Blyth, who was traveling to attend a key party meeting on net zero emissions in Canberra.
