NEW YORK\u2014<\/strong> Fort Worth-based American Airlines (AA)<\/a> is expanding its international network with a new seasonal route from New York (JFK) to Edinburgh, Scotland (EDI), launching March 8, 2026. The service will provide travelers with more options to explore Scotland\u2019s capital and connect easily to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a strong summer performance on its Philadelphia (PHL)\u2013Edinburgh (EDI) route, the airline will now link the Big Apple directly with the Scottish capital using its new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, known for range efficiency and an upgraded onboard experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operating through October 24, 2026, the route complements American\u2019s existing Philadelphia (PHL)\u2013Edinburgh (EDI) service, offering travelers more flexibility when planning European trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines is the first US carrier to introduce the Airbus A321XLR<\/a>. The aircraft features 20 Flagship Suite seats with lie-flat beds and direct aisle access, 12 Premium Economy seats with enhanced comfort, and 123 Main Cabin seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every passenger enjoys seatback entertainment with Bluetooth connectivity, high-speed Wi-Fi, and power outlets at every seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
