A senior air traffic controller has publicly criticized Ryanair (FR)<\/a> and its chief executive (CEO), Michael O\u2019Leary, for what they describe as \u201cshameful\u201d trolling of the air-traffic-control profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The controller\u2019s open post, addressed to Ryanair aircrew and published on a pilot message board, said the industry has \u201chad enough of O\u2019Leary\u2019s bashing and trolling of our profession\u201d, reported PYOK<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair had claimed that Europe\u2019s air-traffic-control (ATC)<\/a> services are so overstretched that more than 30 million passengers have been affected by delays and cancellations so far this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryanair CEO Slammed by ATC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The controller challenged Ryanair\u2019s portrayal of ATC failures, stating that many units were operating \u201cbeyond designed limits\u201d intended to maintain maximum safety. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
