FORT WORTH\u2014<\/strong> American Airlines (AA)<\/a> will resume non-stop flights between New York (JFK), USA, and Tel Aviv (TLV), Israel, starting March 28, 2026. The airline\u2019s return to Israel comes more than two years after operations were suspended following the Hamas attacks of October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The daily route will operate aboard a Boeing 777-200, marking a cautious yet symbolic return. Tickets are set to go on sale on October 27, 2025, with flight number AA18<\/strong>, a nod to the Hebrew word chai<\/em>, meaning \u201clife.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines to Restart Israel Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines (AA) has confirmed that flights between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Tel Aviv\u2019s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) will restart from late March 2026. The decision follows months of internal planning and renewed dialogue between the carrier and Israeli authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to PYOK<\/a>, Israel\u2019s Minister of Transportation, Miri Regev, personally appealed to American Airlines executives during her recent U.S. visit to prioritize the route\u2019s restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While that request helped move things forward, American had already been assessing the timing of its return, balancing demand forecasts and safety considerations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline had given early hints when it advertised for new flight attendants fluent in Hebrew, alongside Czech, Dutch, Greek, Hungarian, and Italian. Industry observers correctly interpreted this as a sign of an upcoming Tel Aviv announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
