Despite modest traffic\u2014around 8 passengers daily each way (PDEW) with an average roundtrip fare near $999\u2014the route aligns with SkyWest\u2019s maintenance presence in St. George, suggesting operational efficiency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>United\u2019s estimated 41% market share positions it competitively against <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/index.php\/tag\/delta\/\">Delta\u2019s (DL)<\/a> 32% and American\u2019s 27%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In contrast, the ORD\u2013Monterey (MRY) market shows stronger potential with 15 PDEW and a $1,179 average fare. Routes such as Lynchburg (LYH), Marquette (MQT), Mosinee (CWA), and Rochester (RST) are all dominated by American Airlines, leaving them ripe for competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rochester (RST), last served by United in August 2021, shows 25 PDEW and average fares nearing $827, with American holding a 98% market share. Similarly, Marquette (MQT) and Mosinee (CWA) have remained exclusive to American, offering potential for United to balance O\u2019Hare\u2019s regional feed and improve connectivity for Upper Midwest travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paducah (PAH), another unserved market, rounds out United\u2019s return strategy.
