DUBAI\u2013<\/strong> Emirates (EK)<\/a> is set to strengthen its footprint in the UK by doubling its Airbus A380 services to London Gatwick (LGW)<\/a> from next summer. According to the airline\u2019s latest schedule filing with Cirium Diio, the Gulf carrier will now operate two daily A380 flights instead of one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the move still falls short of the three daily A380 services operated during 2025, it signals Emirates\u2019 continued confidence in the London market. The carrier will also ramp up its overall Gatwick operations to four daily flights by early February 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates Doubles A380 Flights to London Gatwick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The A380 frequency increase will take effect at the start of the IATA summer season on March 29, 2026. Emirates will operate four daily services between Dubai and Gatwick, two of which will be served by the iconic double-decker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The additional A380 will feature the airline\u2019s high-density, two-class layout accommodating 615 passengers, including 58 in business and 557 in economy class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This aircraft replaces the Boeing 777-300ER<\/a> previously scheduled on the route, increasing the total daily round-trip seat capacity to approximately 3,730 seats \u2014 a 17% jump from prior plans, reports Simple Flying<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The schedule shows departures from Dubai at 08:00 and 14:55, with return flights from Gatwick at 14:30 and 21:45, though timings remain subject to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between January and July 2025, Emirates carried 535,700 passengers on its Gatwick route, according to data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline achieved an average load factor of 80 percent, with higher occupancy in April and July, aligning with peak travel demand and holiday seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this period, Emirates operated three daily flights\u2014typically two with the A380 and one with the Boeing 777-300ER. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
