DUBAI-<\/strong> Emirates (EK)<\/a>, the world\u2019s largest international airline, has distributed 834 handcrafted children\u2019s backpacks with school essentials across Jordan (AMM) through its \u2018Aircrafted KIDS\u2019 initiative. The donations reached four local organizations: SOS Children\u2019s Villages, Madrasati Initiative, Jewels, and Al-Hussein Social Foundation Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative reinforces Emirates\u2019 commitment to education and youth empowerment, providing students with the tools and motivation to pursue learning opportunities. It highlights the airline\u2019s long-term investment in the social development of Jordanian communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emirates Strengthens Support in Jordan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Education remains one of the strongest pathways to opportunity. Recognizing this, Emirates launched its \u2018Aircrafted KIDS\u2019 initiative, distributing limited-edition backpacks made from upcycled aircraft materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each handcrafted bag includes essential stationery, symbolizing both sustainability and educational empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mohammad Bin Hafiz, Emirates\u2019 Country Manager for Jordan and the West Bank, the project reflects the airline\u2019s deep connection with Jordan since beginning operations to Amman in 1986.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that empowering children through education aligns with the Emirates\u2019 broader community goals across its global network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tala Sweis, Director of the Madrasati Initiative, noted that the collaboration with Emirates goes beyond material support, adding that the initiative brings hope and inspiration to young learners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Areej Khatib from SOS Children\u2019s Villages described the school bag as a \u201csymbol of dreams,\u201d representing a child\u2019s first step toward building a brighter future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turning Aircraft Materials into Purpose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Aircrafted KIDS collection forms part of Emirates\u2019 larger sustainability program, \u2018Aircrafted by Emirates\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every item in the range is handmade by Emirates Engineering specialists using reclaimed materials from retired Airbus A380<\/a> and Boeing 777 aircraft<\/a> currently undergoing cabin refurbishments. More than 50,000 kilograms of aircraft materials have been repurposed so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each piece carries a story of transformation\u2014turning aviation materials once destined for disposal into meaningful, educational tools. This creative reuse underscores Emirates\u2019 commitment to reducing waste while supporting local and international communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanding Global Reach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jordan joins a growing list of countries benefiting from the Aircrafted KIDS initiative, with more than 3,700 backpacks distributed to date across ten countries, including Egypt, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By extending this program to Jordan, Emirates demonstrates that its role extends beyond connecting destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
