NEW DELHI-<\/strong> Air India (AI)<\/a>, the largest carrier between India and the United Kingdom, has announced a major enhancement to its UK schedule with a fourth daily flight between Delhi (DEL) and London Heathrow (LHR) effective 26 October 2025, coinciding with the start of the Northern Winter 2025 schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expansion increases the airline\u2019s weekly frequency from 24 to 28 flights, adding 1,196 seats each way per week and further strengthening Air India\u2019s position as the preferred carrier on the busy India\u2013UK corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India Strengthens UK Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air India currently operates 61 weekly flights between India and the United Kingdom, deploying over 18,000 weekly seats (one way) and approximately 1.7 million seats annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this expansion, Air India reinforces its lead as the largest India\u2013UK operator<\/strong>, ahead of competitors such as British Airways<\/a> and Virgin Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airline\u2019s India\u2013UK network connects five Indian cities, Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Bengaluru (BLR), Ahmedabad (AMD), and Amritsar (ATQ), with three UK destinations: London Heathrow (LHR), London Gatwick (LGW), and Birmingham (BHX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExpanding our connectivity to the United Kingdom underscores Air India\u2019s commitment to offering seamless, world-class travel between the two nations,\u201d said Campbell Wilson, CEO & Managing Director, Air India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe additional Delhi\u2013London frequency will provide greater flexibility, improved connectivity, and more capacity for both business and leisure travelers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enhanced Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All four daily Delhi\u2013London (LHR)<\/a> flights will be operated by Air India\u2019s flagship Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner<\/a> aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each aircraft features three cabin classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, with ergonomically designed seating, upgraded in-flight entertainment systems, and enhanced onboard amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
