DUBAI-<\/strong> An Air India (AI)<\/a> flight operating from Vienna (VIE) to New Delhi (DEL) was diverted to Dubai on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, due to a suspected technical issue. The aircraft landed safely and underwent necessary maintenance checks before continuing its journey to the Indian capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flight AI154, which departed from Austria\u2019s Vienna International Airport on October 9, was rerouted as a precaution after the crew detected a potential technical irregularity during the flight. The aircraft was received at Dubai International Airport (DXB)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air India\u2019s spokesperson stated that the aircraft was examined by ground engineers upon arrival in Dubai. After confirming airworthiness, the flight resumed its journey and departed at 08:45 hrs IS, the spokesperson said and quoted in NDTV<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks the second technical-related event involving an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner in recent days. Earlier, on October 4, flight AI117 from Amritsar (ATQ) to Birmingham (BHX) landed safely after its Ram Air Turbine (RAT) deployed during final approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Birmingham-bound flight, all electrical and hydraulic systems continued to function normally despite the RAT deployment. Air India confirmed that the aircraft was grounded for further inspections, and the return flight, AI114 from Birmingham to Delhi, was canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
