MONTREAL-<\/strong> Air Transat (TS)<\/a>, recently named the 2025 World\u2019s Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax, has announced an ambitious expansion for its Summer 2026 program, introducing three new international routes and extending several popular seasonal flights to year-round service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This expansion enhances connectivity between Canada and major destinations in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, including new routes from Qu\u00e9bec City (YQB), Ottawa (YOW), and Montr\u00e9al (YUL), solidifying Air Transat\u2019s role as a key player in international leisure travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Transat New Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Air Transat\u2019s latest network expansion reflects its strategic focus on developing a stronger global footprint while offering passengers more direct flight options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier\u2019s Summer 2026 program highlights include exclusive transatlantic routes, domestic connections to strengthen hub accessibility, and expanded southern routes that now operate year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Routes from Qu\u00e9bec<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Starting May 21, 2026, Air Transat will inaugurate a weekly nonstop service between Qu\u00e9bec City (YQB) and Marseille (MRS)<\/a> every Thursday, offering travelers a direct gateway to southern France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route complements the well-established Qu\u00e9bec City\u2013Paris (CDG) service, catering to growing travel demand between Eastern Canada and France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Qu\u00e9bec City\u2013Fort-de-France (FDF) route, originally scheduled for a December 14, 2025, launch, will continue through summer 2026 with a weekly Monday flight, providing consistent, year-round access to the island of Martinique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Routes from Ottawa<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In a first for the airline, Air Transat (TS) will operate non-stop transatlantic service from Ottawa (YOW) to London Gatwick (LGW)<\/a> beginning May 15, 2026, running three times per week on Fridays, Sundays, and Tuesdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enhance regional connectivity, a new Ottawa\u2013Montr\u00e9al (YUL) domestic route will run between May 5 and October 23, 2026, improving access for travelers from Canada\u2019s capital to the airline\u2019s broader international network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This move aligns with Air Transat\u2019s growing partnership with Porter Airlines (PD)<\/a>, which is establishing Ottawa (YOW) as a key hub for eastern Canadian travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Southern Routes from Montr\u00e9al and Toronto<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Montr\u00e9al\u2013Cartagena (YUL\u2013CTG) route will now extend to Medell\u00edn (MDE), mirroring the upcoming Toronto\u2013Cartagena\u2013Medell\u00edn (YYZ\u2013CTG\u2013MDE) service launching November 2, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
