DUBAI-<\/strong> In a landmark initiative coinciding with World Teachers\u2019 Day 2025, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has awarded long-term UAE Golden Visas to more than 200 exceptional educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The directive, aligning with Dubai\u2019s<\/a> broader education and talent-retention goals, highlights the emirate\u2019s continued commitment to recognizing teachers as the foundation of its knowledge-driven future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognizing Excellence in Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that educators are central to building Dubai\u2019s intellectual and social capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement follows Sheikh Hamdan\u2019s pledge during last year\u2019s World Teachers\u2019 Day to expand the Golden Visa program to include educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move celebrates the critical role of teachers in shaping Dubai\u2019s global educational identity and strengthens the city\u2019s mission to become an international hub for academic excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first phase of implementation has now been completed, with 223 recipients selected from 435 applicants across early childhood centres, schools, and universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process was merit-based, ensuring that nationality, gender, or tenure were not factors in selection. Evaluation criteria focused on professional achievements, academic contributions, and community impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Golden Visa Selection Basis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Among the recipients, 157 were from schools, 60 from universities, and 6 from early childhood institutions. The selected educators include teachers, administrators, and education support staff who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to students and society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants with published research, international recognition, or significant community engagement received additional weight in the review process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative reinforces Dubai\u2019s goal of attracting and retaining top-tier educational professionals as part of its long-term education roadmap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials noted that the program is an extension of the UAE\u2019s larger Golden Visa<\/a> framework, which rewards excellence in key sectors such as science, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and now, education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move aligns with Dubai\u2019s Education 33 (E33) Strategy, which seeks to position the UAE as a global destination for educational innovation and expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the successful rollout of the first phase, applications for the second round will open from October 15 to December 15, 2025. Eligible candidates include educators currently working in private schools, early childhood centers, and higher education institutions across Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
