The aircraft has been parked at the airline\u2019s Cardiff (CWL) site since July, while the US <a href=\"https:\/\/aviationa2z.com\/?s=FAA\">Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)<\/a> reviews the updated seating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The refreshed World Traveller Plus cabin is expected to roll out across selected aircraft after approval. Upholstery updates include dark navy fabric with black leather headrests, contrast stitching, and light grey seat backs paired with darker armrests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most noticeable enhancement is the addition of fixed winged headrests, designed to improve both privacy and support on long-haul flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the cabin refresh does not expand seat numbers, British Airways is focusing on passenger comfort through subtle but effective changes. British Airways has previously used Recaro seating in this class, making the R4 a likely successor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike other carriers that feature the R4, the British Airways version does not appear to include built-in reading lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The in-flight entertainment (IFE) screens are also smaller than those offered by competitors. Estimated at 12\u201313 inches, they are comparable to BA\u2019s current system, but notably smaller than the 15.6-inch displays found on rival airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cabin size seems to remain consistent with the existing World Traveller Plus section, capped at 42 seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on lavatory placement and row configuration, there is no indication of expansion.
