NEW YORK-<\/strong> American Express (AMEX)<\/a> has confirmed it will remove Avis President\u2019s Club status from the Platinum Charge Card\u2019s list of travel perks, effective 1 November 2025. Avis members who currently enjoy this elite status through the card will keep their benefits until the end of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision marks another adjustment to The Platinum Card\u2019s portfolio of privileges. Cardholders who have not yet registered for the Avis President\u2019s Club membership still have until 31 October 2025 to enrol and lock in their status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMEX Ends Avis President Club Benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Introduced in 2022, the Avis President\u2019s Club membership was one of the valuable travel benefits bundled with the AMEX Platinum Charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like other elite statuses tied to the card, such as Hilton Honors Gold and Marriott Bonvoy Gold, it provided automatic recognition without annual requalification. Members enjoyed priority service, better access to rental cars, and complimentary upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 1 November 2025, enrolments for Avis President\u2019s Club via AMEX Platinum will close. However, existing members will retain their benefits until 31 December 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Platinum Charge cardholders who wish to lock in their Avis President\u2019s Club status should register by 31 October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enrolment can be completed using the code Platinum<\/strong>, and processing usually takes 6-8 weeks. This benefit applies to both principal and supplementary cardholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
