If planned industrial action continues next week, the airline estimates losses may climb by another \u20ac10 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The walkouts have disrupted operations at one of Europe\u2019s busiest hubs, forcing KLM to cancel and reschedule numerous flights. While three unions\u2014NVLT, VKP, and De Unie\u2014accepted a new collective labor agreement that included a 2.25% pay increase, members of FNV and CNV rejected the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They argue that ground staff are being treated unfairly compared with pilots and demand significantly higher compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KLM has labeled these demands as \u201cunrealistic and unattainable,\u201d warning that increased labor costs would harm competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/nltimes.nl\/2025\/09\/24\/klm-loses-eu30-million-due-ground-crew-strikes\" rel=\"nofollow\">NL Times<\/a>, the airline emphasized that negotiations remain open, but progress has stalled.
