FORT WORTH-<\/strong> American Airlines (AA)<\/a> will introduce nonstop flights between Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) beginning February 12, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year-round service uses American Eagle\u2019s<\/a> affiliate PSA Airlines with CRJ-900 aircraft and is intended to boost connections for both leisure travelers and business travelers between Florida\u2019s Treasure Coast and a major hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Airlines Expands Florida Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

American will operate 1 daily flight in each direction on the route. From Charlotte (CLT)<\/a>, flights depart at 10:00 AM, arriving in Vero Beach (VRB) at 12:10 PM. The return departs VRB at 12:45 PM and lands back at CLT at 2:40 PM local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRJ-900<\/a> used for this service features 12 First Class seats, 12 Main Cabin Extra (extra-legroom economy), and 52 Main Cabin (standard economy) seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRJ-900 is a twin-turbofan regional jet powered by GE CF34-8C5 \/ CF34-8C5A1 engines. It cruises at approximately Mach 0.78 to Mach 0.82 (about 515-540 mph \/ 829-871 km\/h) depending on flight phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maximum range is roughly 1,553 nautical miles (\u22482,876 km), with takeoff and landing performance suited to regional airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noise and emissions performance of the type: Approach noise is about 92.4 EPNdB, flyover noise ~82.2 EPNdB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets went on sale shortly after the announcement. Fares for the Vero Beach (VRB) – Charlotte (CLT) route in economy vary by booking date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, round-trip economy fares for February 2026 departures are seen as approx US$517 to US$557 depending on the day. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks American\u2019s first direct global-network hub connection out of Vero Beach, adding to existing service by Breeze Airways<\/a> and JetBlue (B6)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
