This stems from a dispute over slot restrictions at Mexico City\u2019s Benito Ju\u00e1rez International Airport (MEX).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US Department of Transportation (DOT) ended the immunity due to anti-competitive practices favoring Aeromexico at the busy airport. Without antitrust immunity, the carrier cannot fully integrate operations with Aeromexico, reducing efficiency on shared routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers may face fewer coordinated schedules, reduced connectivity, and potential fare impacts as competition dynamics shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delta voiced disappointment in the decision, stating it would \u201ccause significant harm to U.S. jobs, communities, and consumers traveling between the US and Mexico.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline added that it is reviewing the order and considering next steps, while reassuring that all current flights will continue to operate normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aeromexico, meanwhile, maintains its strong presence at MEX.
